I'm a functional programming enthusiast and have recently begun exploring Golang and Rust as well. About Me

For most of the last decade I've worked as a project manager at a market research firm, where uncovering and analyzing large collections of data was an essential part of my role. This gradually led me to an interest in automation and business intelligence, both of which started me down the path of programming.

What started off as building simple terminal games in Python eventually grew into an interest in web development, where I started to experiment with building some (at the time, very ugly) websites and first wrapping my head around JavaScript and JQuery. Since then, I've gone on to learn React, TypeScript, Node, SQL, Docker, GraphQL, and recently Golang.

I enjoy exploring the React ecosystem as well as improving my backend skills by building new GraphQL servers. I'm excited by all the advancements that have swept through web development over the last few years and hope I can contribute to a small part of it.

When I'm not fighting the computer, I enjoy spending time with my young boys, gaming, and reading Japanese novels.

At Challenger, I partnered with the Sales Enablement depts of enterprise corporations to teach and embed the Challenger Selling Methodology into global sales and marketing teams, coordinating the rollout of learning programs through workshops, reinforcement activities, and skill diagnostic surveys. I served as a primary client contact running day-to-day project management and providing advisory support.

Project Manager

As a project manager with over 8 years of experience, I have successfully managed nationwide and Japanese market research campaigns, coordinating a network of 100+ evaluators to produce surveys and audits for diverse clients, including USPS, Fannie Mae, Amtrak, Microsoft, Apple, and the National Zoo. I was the main client contact and managed these campaigns from start to finish, including project setup, recruitment and training, fieldwork scheduling, quality control, billing, and project closeout.

Won renewal and expansion of projects from 86% of major clients
Improved survey completion rates from 87% to the project target of 99%
Designed tracking tools to efficiently monitor daily progress and update project goals
Reduced over 20 hours of time spent per month through automating tracking and reporting
